Cedar, hazelnut and polished warmth define Cedro Virtuoso, Acqua di Parma’s new Eau de Parfum for the Signatures of the Sun collection. Its signature is a co-infusion of Virginia cedar and hazelnut, set against Calabrian bergamot and followed by further facets of cedar.
The pyramid moves through Virginia, Atlas and Alaska cedar before settling into tonka bean, sandalwood and Ambrox®. Fragrantica’s community classifies it as woody oriental and rates it 4.25/5 from 75 votes; these are early impressions, not a settled verdict.

A new facet of Signatures of the Sun
Cedro Virtuoso takes inspiration from the creative process and the moment an idea becomes tangible. Acqua di Parma builds its story around two materials: Virginia cedar and hazelnut are infused together to create a woody, creamy signature.
Calabrian bergamot provides a citrus counterpoint. Cedar then unfolds through Virginia, Atlas and Alaska varieties, with nuances the house describes as warm, spicy and aromatic. Sandalwood, tonka bean absolute and Ambrox® form the dry-down.
Top, heart and base notes
The launch pyramid places the cedar-and-hazelnut co-infusion in the opening and reserves the heart for Atlas and Alaska cedar. The structure below follows the grouping in the launch description.
Top
the first minutes- Virginia cedar and hazelnut co-infusion
- Calabrian bergamot
- Musk
Bergamot opens with a luminous citrus facet. The co-infusion sets cedar’s dry structure against creamy hazelnut, while musk completes the published top-note grouping.
Heart
the first hours- Atlas cedar
- Alaska cedar
Atlas cedar brings a spicy, balsamic facet, while Alaska cedar is described as aromatic and slightly leathery. These are source-attributed wood nuances, not a skin test.
Base
what remains on skin- Tonka bean absolute
- Sandalwood
- Ambrox®
Tonka adds warmth, sandalwood a creamy texture and Ambrox® an ambery foundation. The house presents the combination as an enveloping finish.

Woody leads by a clear margin; powdery and nutty facets follow, then citrus and warm spice. These are relative community votes, not measurements of fragrance intensity.

Sizes and price

What Cedro Virtuoso sets out to do
The central idea is not simply a citrus opening, but the contrast between bergamot and a wood-and-nut co-infusion. The cedar heart keeps the profile dry and structured; tonka, sandalwood and Ambrox® steer it toward a warmer finish. The gourmand family comes from Olfastory, while Fragrantica places it among woody orientals.
- It promises: a woody, creamy signature built around Virginia cedar and hazelnut.
- It promises: three cedar facets alongside bergamot, tonka, sandalwood and Ambrox®.
- Still to test: how cedar’s dryness balances hazelnut’s creamy facet on skin.
- Still to test: longevity and projection; we have not tried the fragrance.
- Worth noting: Fragrantica’s rating is still based on an early sample of 75 votes.
