Afnan Stardust: citrus, caramel and amber in an extrait

Afnan Stardust Extrait de Parfum bottle

Bright citrus, spiced caramel and an amber base: that is the direction of Afnan Stardust, a new unisex Extrait de Parfum. Afnan Europe and Fragrantica agree on the notes; early community ratings also suggest a versatile fragrance, with votes split between daytime and evening and across all four seasons.

Stardust launched in 2026. Afnan’s European store lists it as a 100 ml extrait, in luminous orange glass inspired by light and the image of a shooting star.

A citrus opening before the gourmand turn

The official store describes a bright citrus opening leading into a heart of caramel, cinnamon and cognac, over a woody, amber base. Fragrantica’s accord profile also puts citrus first, followed by woods, amber and warm spice. The brand markets it as long-lasting; that claim still needs to be tested on skin.

How it smells: top, heart and base

Afnan Europe and Fragrantica publish the same ingredient list, although they order some notes differently. This pyramid follows the grouping on the official product page.

Top notes

the first minutes
  • Bergamot
  • Mandarin
  • Grapefruit
  • Orange
  • Aldehydes

Bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit and orange form the citrusy side; aldehydes add a bright, expansive nuance according to the official description.

Heart notes

the first hours
  • Caramel
  • Cinnamon
  • Cognac

Caramel brings the gourmand side, while cinnamon and cognac add warmth and a spicy, boozy nuance. These notes match across Afnan Europe and Fragrantica.

Base notes

what lingers on the skin
  • Myrrh
  • Sandalwood
  • Amber
  • Tonka bean
  • Woody notes
  • Oak
  • Musk

Myrrh, amber and tonka meet sandalwood, oak, other woody notes and musk. The base brings resinous, warm and dry facets together.

Main accords according to the Fragrantica community (the top accord equals 100).

Citrus leads clearly, followed by woody, amber and warm spicy accords. Aldehydic and sweet round out the profile. These are relative community ratings, not measurements of intensity.

First opinions

Fragrantica rates it 4.28 out of 5 from 50 votes. Thirty people chose “love” and eleven “like”; four were indifferent, three chose “dislike” and two “hate”. Overall the early response is positive, though it is still too soon to treat it as a settled verdict.

Wear votes are fairly evenly spread: winter (31), autumn (30), spring (28) and summer (25). Daytime and evening tie at 29 votes each. The community does not appear to limit Stardust to one season or time of day.

Who might enjoy it?

It may appeal to someone looking for a citrus opening that turns sweet and spicy in the heart, with a woody, amber base. Fragrantica users consider it wearable year-round, both day and night. We have not tried it, so longevity and projection remain unverified.

Price and availability

When checked, Afnan’s official European store listed Stardust at €54.50 on sale for 100 ml. IFragrance reports AED 150 in the UAE market. These are regional prices from different official stores, not a direct currency conversion; promotions, country and date can change them.

Our early take

Stardust has a clear structure on paper: citrus up top, caramel and spice in the heart, and a broad base of woods, amber, resins and musk. The official listing backs up the notes and format; early ratings suggest a flexible profile, but actual performance can only be judged by wearing it.

  • It promises: a citrus and aldehydic opening with a warm heart of caramel, cinnamon and cognac.
  • It promises: a 100 ml unisex Extrait de Parfum, according to Afnan Europe.
  • To check: how the caramel sweetness balances against cinnamon and cognac on skin.
  • To check: longevity and sillage; the official description is a brand claim, not an independent test.
  • To check: final price and shipping conditions in each market.
