Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste Eau de Parfum: violet iris returns

Violet Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste Eau de Parfum bottle in a bright floral gallery with white and purple blooms

Twenty years after the 2006 Omnia Amethyste Eau de Toilette, Bvlgari brings the name back as a new Eau de Parfum created by Alberto Morillas. It is not simply the familiar EDT at a higher concentration: more than 80% of its notes have been refreshed, with iris and Damask rose at its heart.

The new release arrived in 2026 and keeps the collection’s recognisable circular bottle, now in a deeper purple shade. Its profile is floral woody musk and it is aimed at women. Ratings are still few and we have not tried the fragrance, so it is worth separating published facts from what the pyramid may suggest.

A new chapter for Omnia Amethyste

The original Omnia Amethyste arrived in 2006 as an Eau de Toilette. The 2026 EDP keeps the name and the bottle’s familiar silhouette, but offers a richer take on iris: iris petal accord and ambrette open the composition; iris absolute and Damask rose follow, before a warm base of bourbon vanilla and labdanum.

More than 80% of the notes have been refreshed from the EDT. The figure refers to changes in the scent pyramid; it does not mean the new EDP is simply the same formula at a different concentration or that it smells like the 2006 fragrance.

How it might smell: the new EDP’s notes

The detailed pyramid pairs iris petal accord and ambrette in the opening with iris absolute and Damask rose in the heart, then bourbon vanilla and labdanum in the base. A shorter listing describes the base as resins and woody notes. Both retain the floral, powdery thread of iris and rose.

Top notes

the first minutes
  • Iris petal accord
  • Ambrette

Iris may lend a powdery, elegant impression; ambrette often adds a soft, musky and slightly warm feel.

Heart notes

the first hours
  • Iris absolute
  • Damask rose

Iris absolute keeps the velvety character, while Damask rose brings a richer floral facet. The pairing may feel polished without turning overtly sweet.

Base notes

what lingers on the skin
  • Vanilla Bourbon SFE
  • Cistus labdanum

Vanilla and labdanum suggest a warmer, more balsamic drydown than the opening. This interprets the listed materials; it is not a claim about longevity or strength.

Scent profile

  • Iris100
  • Powdery90
  • Amber90
  • Woody70
  • Musky60
  • Violet50
  • Earthy40
  • Balsamic40
Main accords shown as relative values (the top accord equals 100).

Iris leads the profile, joined by powdery and amber facets. Woody and musky nuances add a more enveloping impression than a light, citrusy floral. These accords reflect community perception; they are not instrumental measurements.

Early ratings: still a small sample

The early rating is 3.96 out of 5 from 23 votes. That is an initial signal, not a settled consensus: the sample is small and the score may change as more people try the EDP. The few wear votes lean towards daytime and spring; other recommendations place it in autumn and winter. Neither is a substitute for testing it on skin.

Price and availability

Our early take

On paper, this EDP may suit anyone who enjoys powdery iris but wants more warmth and depth than a clean floral. Damask rose gives it a recognisable floral heart, while vanilla and labdanum could make the drydown feel more enveloping. What remains to be tested is how iris and rose balance on skin, how noticeable the resinous base is, and how the fragrance performs.
