How we made the ranking
We have not tried all of these perfumes: the ranking is based on public data. We combined four criteria:
- Community rating: the score and the number of votes on Fragrantica. With few votes the score is less reliable, and we say so.
- Fit for autumn: how many votes each perfume gets for autumn and winter, and for the evening, against spring and summer.
- Popularity: the most voted and recommended ones weigh more than the unknown ones.
- Availability: that it can be bought on Amazon Spain, and that there is variety of styles, not ten identical perfumes.
The result is a list dominated by sweet and spicy scents, because those work best in autumn, with a few drier or fresher exceptions.

Tips for wearing them in autumn
- Apply it on moisturised skin after the shower: the dry air of autumn and winter makes perfumes fade sooner.
- Spray on wrists, neck and behind the ears, and do not rub your wrists together.
- With sweet ones, less is more: two or three sprays are usually enough.
